According to Havel, it is almost like he was being shrouded away from the press (and effectively, the team). Didn't get that.

I don't think that I was trying to label him as "fat and lazy" as much as, perhaps, unreliable. From what I was led to believe, this back surgery was supposed to be recovered from in time for training camp. It has lingered and lingered (and now, kept covered up).

In the PG article yesterday, his position coach stated that he is still not in playing shape, and is going to take some time to get there. I think from that (along with everything else) is where I feel like this is just becoming an ongoing, played-out situation.

I know for every Reggie White and Brett Favre that is a miraculous quick healer, there has to be someone on the other side of the median, and that might be Harrell.

To me, the fact that he has been recovering from the same surgery for going on how long...and still isn't in playing shape??

That's a "lack of conditioning", for sure, whether its due to his own failure to keep motivated or just a consequence of a prolonged injury.

But, as long as they are keeping him sequestered, its hard for us to know, eh?C.D. Where'd that come from? By most accounts he showed-up for TC at 320 lbs. - 15 lbs over his college and "ideal" playing weight. This, after a summer of recuperating from disc surgery, which was botched - hence the 2nd surgery to clean-out bone fragments. How many times did Gilbert Brown or Grady Jackson show-up for TC 50+ lbs over their "ideal" playing weight (of 335ish)? I think 1-1/2 years after the draft, in which he was just recovering from a blown bicep, is too soon to stick him with the label "Bust".Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
